What is Pain?
Pain is a real protective response produced by the brain and nervous system. Sometimes, however, pain continues after tissues have healed or occurs without ongoing injury. Understanding how sensitisation, stress and learned neural pathways can maintain symptoms may open new opportunities for treatment, recovery and a return to meaningful activity.
What is a Neuropsychological Assessment
A neuropsychological assessment evaluates how well your brain functions in daily life. Conducted by a specialised clinical neuropsychologist, it uses interactive tests to measure cognitive strengths and weaknesses in areas like memory, focus, and planning. Unlike physical brain scans (like MRIs), it measures actual mental performance to help diagnose conditions like brain injuries, dementia, and developmental disorders.
